Getting together with the neighbors and discussing the experiences we all had with building, has brought many different views on the process. Ours had been very positive with Steven Horne Homes. We REALLY are very happy with the layout, craftsmanship, the materials that were used and the personal attention that was given to us from beginning to the end! Each supplier that Steve sent us to for our home selections was very knowledgeable and provided us with numerous options within our allowances. They had copies of our house plans ahead of the appointments and exact lists of what we needed to select. We had a great feel for how the end product was going to look by the time we left as we were given samples or pictures of most choices. It was a genuine pleasure to work with Steve. Being a woman, I have experienced contractors who could care less about what I wanted or said. Steve listens, is respectful and does his best to give the customer "me" what I want. If there is a problem, he'll let me know and we will work out a compromise. Other contractors would actually go ahead and do what they thought best without even consulting the customer. In addition to being nice to work with, Steve's work is exceptional. He finished the upstairs of our lake home and I still love to look at his work. He created a beautiful place (complete with storage) for us to use. Steve built a shed in the backyard for tools, etc. but it doesn't even look like a shed. It is a lovely structure with a window and a playhouse above it. It was built to last a long time; very well done. I could go on and on and certainly guarantee you will be happy with Steven Horne Homes.
